3rd grade Fossils: Blended Unit Plan

Hi fellow teachers! I decided to create a blended unit plan for 3rd grade Science: Fossils. We rarely have enough time to truly devote instruction on Science topics and I really feel it's vital and shouldn't be skipped. Therefore, I am looking for more ways to integrate science instruction into ELA and Math time periods. I plan to have students work online during their independent practice rotation times for ELA during this Science Unit. I have combined the district's in-class activities with activities I have created online for students to complete during ELA independent practice rotation time.

Learning Targets:
Analyze and interpret data from fossils to provide evidence of the organisms and the environments in which they lived long ago.
Recognize and explain that fossils provide evidence about the plants and animals that lived long ago and about the nature of the environment at that time.
