In this introduction to our larger interdisciplinary unit entitled, Affluenza, we attempt to answer the question “What is happiness?” through writing in journals, reading multiple and varied texts, and assessing what makes us happy by thinking about where our happiness really comes from.
This is a unit from Algebra 1 that is a intended for use in a blended learning environment. Lessons are primarily through video and practice would have access to small group or individual instruction. The focus is on solving 1 step equations, two step equeations, and multi-step equations.

Hi fellow teachers! I decided to create a blended unit plan for 3rd grade Science: Fossils. We rarely have enough time to truly devote instruction on Science topics and I really feel it's vital and shouldn't be skipped. Therefore, I am looking for more ways to integrate science instruction into ELA and Math time periods.

In this unit, students develop in-depth understanding of volume and surface area. Students should understand volume as a measure of filling and surface area as a measure of wrapping an object. Students should have the opportunity to generate their own strategies for finding volume and surface area.

This unit is designed for students in the 6-8th grade range who are encountering algebra for the first time. The content of this unit will produce students that are comfortable reading and writing algebraic expressions and equations, performing basic integer operations and finally, putting it all together to solve one-step algebraic equations.

This blended unit covers the content in the ChemCom curriculum for Part A of the Water Unit. In particular, this unit discusses water quality, the hydrologic cycle, and covers some basic descriptive statistics.
