Students will use a discovery approach to learn about the different families of functions. They will look for patterns between multiple function representations and use those patterns to identify key characteristics of linear, quadratic, absolute value, exponential, and rational functions. Students will identify function patterns in equations, tables, and graphs.

This blended learning unit of the Vietnam War allows for students to rotate through stations, assess their knowledge and work in small groups with an instructor. It also provides links to Web 2.0 tools utilized to create instructional videos, quizzes and projects. It follows Michigan State standards for US History at the high school level.

This unit is for educators looking for alternative behavioral and classroom management techniques. This unit focuses on using the practice of yoga as a means for self-regulation and potentially conflict resolution. Participants will be exposed to some of the basics of yoga and how to integrate it into an educational setting to potentially improve student behavior and achievement.

In this unit, students will be introduced to and begin to apply the themes of geography. They will incorporate vocabulary terms such as Longitude, Latitude, Scale, Absolute Location, Relative Location, Physical Characteristic, Human Characteristic in applying the themes. Knowledge about physical features and map making will be applied in describing how the themes apply to a location
Students will explore clothing vocabulary and local currency of Spanish-speaking countries. Through Total Physical Response, Kahoot!, and various games, students will learn and practice use of vocabulary such as: pantalones, camisa, zapatos, gorro, botas, bufanda, sombrero, sueter, chaqueta, sandalias, traje de bano, gafas, etc.

Students will examine various types of weathering and erosion, as well as take a closer look at the rock cycle. As a result of the lessons students will be able to identify various types of chemical and mechanical weathering, and discover the effects that occur with each type of weathering and erosion.

Students will be focusing on two chapters (six sections) pertaining to "Oceans." Everything from Ocean Composition and Waves and Tides, to Life in the Ocean and Ocean Pollution. Learning will be interactive with online, as well as, small group instruction.

The students will be able to understand the life cycles of various animals, including that all animals are born, develop into an adult, reproduce, and eventually die. This unit is intended for first and 2nd graders. The focus of the unit is the lifecycle of the painted lady butterfly.
