Dear LOR user,

Thank you for being a big part of this community. To better support the initiatives around open educational resources in the state of Michigan, all resources on the Michigan Virtual Learning Object Repository (LOR) are being moved to #GoOpen Michigan (link is external) on September 30th, 2018. During the transition, our LOR will be moved to an archived state, not allowing new user registration or new content to be added. An email with more details was sent to registered users of the LOR in September. To make use of the great resources on the platform, we encourage you to create an account and add your own new resources to the #GoOpen Michigan platform (link is external).

Classhook allows teachers to use clips of popular shows/movies to act as a "hook" for the content students are learning.

Sutori allows teachers and students to curate resources, embed elements (like Flipgrid, EdPuzzle, etc) and tie their "stories" to their Google Classroom classes.

Classcraft is a website that teachers can use to "gamify"  their classroom content and behavior expectations. The design of the website is based on concepts from fantasy games and literature with character classes such as mage, healer, and warrior. Students get to choose which type of character they will have and what that character looks like. They are rewarded by their teacher for making progress or demonstrating good behavior with experience points (XP).

Google Forms is a piece of the G Suite for Education that can be utilized for surveys, formative assessments and even summative assessments.

Students in Horticulture science have the opportunity to become certified florists by testing at MSU in April. Students are tested on a general knowledge test, plant identification, and hands on portion. This lesson outlines the three areas, practicing the hands on skills, general knowledge and the dendrology.
