This 5 week unit will be conducted in class on Fridays and Mondays only, and will involve the 3 key Supreme Court cases impacting student press in the United States:  Tinker, Bethel, and Hazelwood.

This unit was designed as a way to meet some of the social/behavioral/emotional skills that some elementary students lack, for any number of reasons.  When students don't have some of these basic skills it often interferes with their ability to perform academically.

This retailing lesson will have the students learning about Market Research, identifying the difference between primary and secondary research. They will decide where the best place is to open their business along with learning about advertising and setting prices.

This is a Haiku page that I am using as a developmental platform for building this lesson.  It contains the entire standard 5 Insurance.  However, the only section of this lesson that are currently populated are standard 5.1.  The lesson includes a SMART board presentation students give their ideas for risks that they might face.

Students will learn how to develop and implement study skills. This lesson is a support to enhance academic skills that students learn in the classroom.
