For this lesson, students will review what adjectives are, learn how to identify them in writing, and write with them to describe a picture. They will share their writing with their classmates through a wiki or a forum.

This unit focuses on the foundations to developing effective sentences that will grow and build into strong pargraphs. Students are guided through processes that will help them to create sentences that are fluent. Sentence types, functions, styles are all addressed in this unit.
This is a mini unit on Experimental Probability. Direct instruction is still built into this object for face to face classroom time. There are videos that are interactive and allow for the students or teacher to walk through 2-3 examples for each lesson.

For this lesson, students will learn what theme is, understand what the most common themes are, and analyze the theme of short stories. As a final assessment, students will read a novel and write a 5 paragraph essay analyzing the theme.

For this assignment, students will learn about the difference between mood and tone in writing. They will watch a video explaining the difference, work through a website with words writers would use to convey tone or mood, and end with an assignment where they will describe the tone or mood in pictures and passages from books.
