Dear LOR user,

Thank you for being a big part of this community. To better support the initiatives around open educational resources in the state of Michigan, all resources on the Michigan Virtual Learning Object Repository (LOR) are being moved to #GoOpen Michigan (link is external) on September 30th, 2018. During the transition, our LOR will be moved to an archived state, not allowing new user registration or new content to be added. An email with more details was sent to registered users of the LOR in September. To make use of the great resources on the platform, we encourage you to create an account and add your own new resources to the #GoOpen Michigan platform (link is external).

Bounce is a literacy tool that enables teachers/students to screenshot an entire webpage and annotate it with selection boxes with a comment feature to add context.

Seesaw is a digital portfolio for students and a place to share content for teachers. It is an app/site that allows teachers to easily distribute and collect content and provides parents access to their own student’s work.

No Red Ink is a site that makes grammar fun and exciting for students. Its adaptive practice process is great for students at all levels allowing a teacher to further differentiate instruction.

Write About provides a site where students can further explore the craft of writing and do some of their own writing as well.

Doctopus is a Google Sheets add-on that can be used to collect and organize documents (most likely from student work being submitted). It works closely with Google Classroom and can pull work in directly from classroom and display in a Google Sheet. Goobric is a Chrome extension that allows you to embed a rubric you design in Google Sheets to any document, thereby making grading that much easier.

Office Mix is a free add-in for Powerpoint that allows you take a powerpoint and make it an interactive experience through polling, questions, embedded web pages, videos and more. 

Sway is an innovative way to share content. With it, you can create an interactive presentation and unique way to showcase information.

Quizlet can allow you to create a set of digital flashcards. These can be great for vocabulary practice. You can use the same sets to play games, do quizzes, and even put students into teams to play games.

Digital “Bulletin Board” for student and/or teacher collaboration.
