This unit covers the key aspects to prove triangles are congruent. Students will learn the five triangle congruence postulates to show triangles are congruent which are SSS, SAS, ASA, AAS and HL. Additionally the students will learn about CPCTC and how it is used in showing parts of triangles are congruent.
In this lesson, students will be focusing on right-triangle geometry, specifically how does the Pythagorean Formula apply to right triangles and using other special formulas for specific types of right triangles (45-45-90 and 30-60-90) to find missing sides.
This lesson will be used on the second day of class to introduce the purpose for government. There is also a survey for the students to take about the top 10 achievements of the U.S. government in the last 75 years.
