Blended Poetry Unit Grade 4

Description: 

This is a three week blended poetry unit for fourth grade.  Students will be exposed to a wide range of poetry styles through hard copy and online resources.  Students will discuss and understand poetry vocabulary.  By adding online resources, students will have a much wider range of resources for a more thorough understanding.  

Learning Targets: 
Be able to create poetry based on interest
Be able to create poetry in various styles
Be able to identify and explain styles of poetry
Be able to critique and comment on others' poetry
Be able to create a poetry anthology surrounding a common theme/topic

Student must be able to have a 3rd grade reading comprehension. Student must be able to utilize a computer with limited support. Student must be able to follow a checklist of at least 3 activities.
