Dear LOR user,

Thank you for being a big part of this community. To better support the initiatives around open educational resources in the state of Michigan, all resources on the Michigan Virtual Learning Object Repository (LOR) are being moved to #GoOpen Michigan on September 30th, 2018. During the transition, our LOR will be moved to an archived state, not allowing new user registration or new content to be added. An email with more details was sent to registered users of the LOR in September. To make use of the great resources on the platform, we encourage you to create an account and add your own new resources to the #GoOpen Michigan platform.

Goobric & Doctopus

Description:

Doctopus is a Google Sheets add-on that can be used to collect and organize documents (most likely from student work being submitted). It works closely with Google Classroom and can pull work in directly from classroom and display in a Google Sheet. Goobric is a Chrome extension that allows you to embed a rubric you design in Google Sheets to any document, thereby making grading that much easier.

What We Like:
  • Gathers submitted student work into one space and allows you to advance from one doc to the next without having to open each individually
  • Makes grading much more efficient - embeds and can email rubric to students providing more immediate feedback
  • Helps to organize submitted work from Classroom
Limitations:
  • Can be tricky and time-consuming to set up initially

Classroom Application:
Easily grade essays/written work
