Prehistoric Cave Art and Culture

Description: 

This presentation is used in a unit on prehistoric man.  It includes information on the culture and society in which early man lived by looking at different cave paintings and pictures from throughout the world.  Special attention is paid to the great caves found in France that show us so much about how early man lived and had a culture.

Learning Targets: 
Describe the culture and values of early man.
Be able to identify how early man lived and survived in a much differnt world than today

What was your experience, both successes and challenges, using this lesson object with your students?

Students enjoyed this presentation and we then created our own cave art to show people 10,000 years from now how we lived and what was important to us.  We all learned that things put in stone last forever and very little else does.
