Dear LOR user,

Thank you for being a big part of this community. To better support the initiatives around open educational resources in the state of Michigan, all resources on the Michigan Virtual Learning Object Repository (LOR) are being moved to #GoOpen Michigan (link is external) on September 30th, 2018. During the transition, our LOR will be moved to an archived state, not allowing new user registration or new content to be added. An email with more details was sent to registered users of the LOR in September. To make use of the great resources on the platform, we encourage you to create an account and add your own new resources to the #GoOpen Michigan platform (link is external).

Prehistory: Early Man


This Unit focuses on early man and how we know that he/she existed. Using powerful pictures and statistics about prehistoric man Mega-fauna students are brought back in time to when human beings lived in a much different place than today.  Special attention is given to the size and abilities of the animals and how human beings lived along side of them.  This presentation was created to give students a picture of what life was like during prehistoric times as well as showing them that human beings have been alive and have had culture for a very long time.

Describe what the world looked like for early man.
What dangers may have existed for early man?
How do we know early man existed and had culture
