I use these rubrics for my AP Language and Composition and on level junior courses to assess their rhetorical analysis. The Lang Rubric is used to assess both AP prompts found: http://apcentral.collegeboard.com/apc/members/exam/exam_information/2001...
As well as the basic prompt: What is the speaker's argument, and what rhetorical appeals and devices are used to make that claim?

The on level rubric can be used to assess students on their analysis of any piece from historical examples of rhetoric to contemporary editorials.
