Sentence Fragments and Run-ons
This short unit is designed to instruct students on how to identify fragments and run-ons in writing. It will also give them multiple tools to fix sentence fragments and run-ons. The final assessment is a tiered assessment. It will ask students to define various terminology (fragment, run-on, simple, compound, complex, compound-complex sentences) in the first tier, identify fragments and run-ons in the second tier, and fix the fragments and run-ons in the final tier.
