Dear LOR user,

Thank you for being a big part of this community. To better support the initiatives around open educational resources in the state of Michigan, all resources on the Michigan Virtual Learning Object Repository (LOR) are being moved to #GoOpen Michigan (link is external) on September 30th, 2018. During the transition, our LOR will be moved to an archived state, not allowing new user registration or new content to be added. An email with more details was sent to registered users of the LOR in September. To make use of the great resources on the platform, we encourage you to create an account and add your own new resources to the #GoOpen Michigan platform (link is external).

Listenwise is a listening skills platform that utilizes curated podcasts and public radio within the design of lessons to build literacy skills and aide overall learning.

Newsela takes articles and current events from its partner news sources and modifies them so that students can read them more easily (options for different lexile levels). There also opportunities to assign to students and add questions. 

Set the stage for reading success with this delightfully interactive educational app. Kids will have a blast learning their ABC’s and building vocabulary with the adorable monsters in Endless Alphabet. Each word features an interactive puzzle with talking letters and a short animation illustrating the definition.

Bounce is a literacy tool that enables teachers/students to screenshot an entire webpage and annotate it with selection boxes with a comment feature to add context.

An online community for teens and young adult writers to share their writing, reading the work of others, and collaborate in groups to gain new ideas.
