To better support the initiatives around open educational resources in the state of Michigan, all resources on the Michigan Virtual Learning Object Repository (LOR) are being moved to #GoOpen Michigan on September 30th, 2018. During the transition, our LOR will be moved to an archived state, not allowing new user registration or new content to be added. This presentation is used in a unit on prehistoric man.  It includes information on the culture and society in which early man lived by looking at different cave paintings and pictures from throughout the world.  Special attention is paid to the great caves found in France that show us so much about how early man lived and had a culture.

In the Law Day Unit the students ultimate goal is the presentation of the court case People V Stover.  The presentation occurs in a courtroom under the guidelines of the United States Court System.  Preparation of the case includes an understanding of our United States Constitution - our rights and our liberties.

In this blended unit, designed for 5th grade, the students will explore colonial life in the North America during the 1700s before the American Revolution. They will investigate the various perspectives of the groups of people living in the colonies during this time. They will also explore how different aspects such as economics, location, and beliefs effected the lives of the people.

This is an outlined unit of Romeo and Juliet. Many of the activities can be placed online (Prezi) to achieve the same success. There's an abundance of Quick Writes and Focus Questions that I didn't specify in the unit. These too, can be placed online for blended learning.

During this lesson the students will explore the Spanish-Speaking countries in Central America. They will explore greetings, customs, the culture, and more. They will take virtual tours of some of the historical sites and will research these sites as well as interesting facts about the country. They will create a presentation to share their findings with their peers.
