Dear LOR user,

Thank you for being a big part of this community. To better support the initiatives around open educational resources in the state of Michigan, all resources on the Michigan Virtual Learning Object Repository (LOR) are being moved to #GoOpen Michigan (link is external) on September 30th, 2018. During the transition, our LOR will be moved to an archived state, not allowing new user registration or new content to be added. An email with more details was sent to registered users of the LOR in September. To make use of the great resources on the platform, we encourage you to create an account and add your own new resources to the #GoOpen Michigan platform (link is external).

Algebra

Students will learn to solve systems of equations by graphing, substitution and elimination. The students will be given the assignment list at the beginning of the unit, therefore they will work at their own pace. Students will be using a combination of online videos/tools and worksheets to complete the unit.

In this unit, students will learn how to use inverse operations to solve equations/inequalities containing variables, write equations/inequalities to represent real life situations, and simplify equations/inequalities before solving.

This is a compilation of resources used in the first unit of my first-year algebra class.  Students will watch instructional videos at home and work collaboratively in the classroom on skill development and in-depth reasoning activities.

This unit focuses on the differences between a linear and nonlinear pattern of change. Students will look at data sets and determine whether a linear equation can be created by analyzing the rate of change in graphs, tables, and algebraic rules.

This is an Algebra 2 Unit that explores sequences and series.  This includes arithmetic, geometric, and other sequences, as well as recursive and explicit formulas that generate these sequences.  Arithmetic, finite geometric, and infinite geometric series are also covered in this unit.  This unit is designed as a flipped instructional unit.

This short unit covers simplifying rational expressions and solving rational equations and radical equations, with a focus on square root equations.  Included in the planning document are links to resources that can be used during the unit.  We typically use the Holt textbook in our high school, but this unit uses mainly other resources.  I have mentioned using Holt worksheets in
