Dear LOR user,

Thank you for being a big part of this community. To better support the initiatives around open educational resources in the state of Michigan, all resources on the Michigan Virtual Learning Object Repository (LOR) are being moved to #GoOpen Michigan on September 30th, 2018. During the transition, our LOR will be moved to an archived state, not allowing new user registration or new content to be added. An email with more details was sent to registered users of the LOR in September. To make use of the great resources on the platform, we encourage you to create an account and add your own new resources to the #GoOpen Michigan platform.

Number Sense and Operations

After teaching the Everyday Mathematics program for years and observing that students struggle with partial quotients long division, I realized the need to create a multiple day workshop on partial quotients division.  By the end of the workshop,  students will master dividing a four digit number by a one digit number using the strategy of partial quotient division.

This third grade math unit is composed of two parts that I created.  First, there are videos for the first six lessons of Math Expressions Unit 1 for Third Grade and their accompanying scripts.  These videos can be posted to a site like Google Classroom so that students can work at their own pace while the teacher helps those who need their attention the most.  Secondly, there is

Students in my class work through the Math Expressions curriculum.  However, they need some enrichments.  Students need more motivation and active, quick practice in regards to math fact fluency.  So, I have found a few enrichment resources (mainly on-line) and ways to track student growth data while using the resources.  This unit compiles the resources and will continue to
