Dear LOR user,

Thank you for being a big part of this community. To better support the initiatives around open educational resources in the state of Michigan, all resources on the Michigan Virtual Learning Object Repository (LOR) are being moved to #GoOpen Michigan (link is external) on September 30th, 2018. During the transition, our LOR will be moved to an archived state, not allowing new user registration or new content to be added. An email with more details was sent to registered users of the LOR in September. To make use of the great resources on the platform, we encourage you to create an account and add your own new resources to the #GoOpen Michigan platform (link is external).

Project

Using third grade Michigan Science Standards students will learn about force and motion then design, describe, and create an arcade game for others to play.  Since this is a PBL, many ELA content standards are also included.

Second grade students will use print and on-line resources to research about a Native American tribe.  Students will write notes in an organizer and then type those notes as complete sentences as an informational writing piece to be shared with the class and their families through Google Slides.

This is a study at the AP level of Spanish on the Guerra Sucia of Argentina.  Although the instructions are in English, all work would be done in the target language.

This resource is a Kindergarten Unit on Animals. Within this unit, the Kindergartners learned and explored animals by reading, listening to stories, watching videos, viewing virtual field trips and animals on live web cams. They then researched and journaled information about their animals.

A Mastodon is Not a Dinosaur! is an arts integration project that infuses fine arts projects into the core curriculum subjects of science and literacy.  This project was designed for a Young Fives (pre-K) classroom.  This blended learning resource focuses on gathering information about the following Ice Age Mammals: American Mastodon, Woolly Mammoth, Saber Toothed Cat, Giant
