Dear LOR user,

Thank you for being a big part of this community. To better support the initiatives around open educational resources in the state of Michigan, all resources on the Michigan Virtual Learning Object Repository (LOR) are being moved to #GoOpen Michigan on September 30th, 2018. During the transition, our LOR will be moved to an archived state, not allowing new user registration or new content to be added. An email with more details was sent to registered users of the LOR in September. To make use of the great resources on the platform, we encourage you to create an account and add your own new resources to the #GoOpen Michigan platform.

Google Classroom is a learning management system designed to integrate seamlessly with Google Docs and Drive. It allows teachers to assign homework, easily share documents, hold discussions, and share links.

Padlet allows users to collect information and pin it onto a virtual bulletin board. Videos, text, links and images can be dragged and dropped onto the board on virtual sticky notes.

This tool allows you to create and share screen and webcam recordings.

Google Apps for Education allows you to collaborate on documents, slide decks, and spreadsheets. It’s a great tool for having students work together on a presentation or a document where they each add their own thoughts.

Upload or take a picture and make it talk by overlaying a mouth on the photo and recording your voice to animate a video.

Students will be reading historical fiction book at their own level. They will read, summarize, and create three book projects that correlate with some of the 4th grade common core reading standards.

This unit is basically chapter 5 in our Math Expressions curriculum.  If your district uses Math Expressions, then this unit will make a lot of sense to you.  If you don't have Math Expressions, this unit can still help guide you through teaching your kids meausurement using customary and metric systems.

This is an Economics unit that I use in my 4th grade class.  My district uses a text book called Social Studies Alive!  I refer to this book in this lesson.  I purchased an Econ. document from teacherspayteachers.com that you may purchase as well if you are interested.

This unit is for the after school program called Let Me Run.  Boys in grades 4-8 can join this nation-wide program.  It is similar to Girls on the Run.
